Everything starts when travelling. It was the first time for Irene trying to organize a very big event in South of Italy (Salerno), where she is used to visit every year. Her plan was to bring the high fashion of Milano to Salerno. She asked herself why the Municipality of Salerno will grant her request? Then she started investigating and studying traditions and cultures of Salerno. That was the roots of a brand-new creation in the fashion industry: Irene Otekpere created, for the first time in history, dresses made with ceramics.
